Dryer Vent Cleaning

The Consumer Product Safety Commission reported more than 15,000 dryer related fires back in 1998 which resulted in 20 deaths and 370 injuries. Fires can occur when lint builds up in the dryer or exhaust duct. Lint can block the flow of air, cause excessive heat build up, and result in a fire in some dryers. A few indications of clogged vents are:

• Loads of clothes taking longer to dry
• Clothing will be very hot and still damp when dryer finishes
• The dryer itself will feel hotter
• There may be no lint on the screen (ie, the exhaust system is clogged)

A lint clogged dryer can often consume $20 worth of additional electricity every month trying to dry your clothes. Lint tends to build up in three areas: inside the lint trap, inside the flexible duct hose behind the dryer, and inside the wall duct leading to the outside vent flap. Our service includes using specialized equipment to clean the duct hose from the vent flap all the way to the dryer, inside the dryer behind or below the lint trap, and underneath your dryer.

Gutter Cleaning
